The Queen of Dental Hygiene’s Third Birthday Present!
We are excited to unveil the new, improved Queen of Dental Hygiene site! It’s bursting with information. Hope you like it as much as we do! Congratulations and a big thank you to my web designer – Flora Latifi – for making it so beautiful and for putting up with all my questions.
This blog is now three years old. I always feel that anniversaries are a great time to refresh and improve things for myself, my life goals, and now this blog. Each year I’ve done a blog round up and review of all the articles I’ve written. This year, we’re taking it to the next level and improving things all around!
Learning New Stuff
I sure know dental hygiene better than computers. Luckily for me, Flora’s understanding and encouraging. I’ve made plenty of mistakes already. It’s a little daunting for me to maneuver around the site, but just like you learning how to make your gums healthy, I too can learn and become a pro at this new blog. Change is hard though, and a little scary. I admit to resisting at first. Blogspot sure was comfortable to use and cheap, rather like that manual tooth brush. I had to look at what my goals were- what do I want to achieve? What do I want for you, my reader? I wanted an organized, attractive, easy to use site with plenty of information at your fingertips. It’s an investment that I know will pay off.
I have attached an Amazon connection in the right hand column (which you can also view here: http://queenofdentalhygiene.net/products/) so you can order all the products I’ve recommended over the years, either during your dental hygiene appointment with me or things that you read about in my posts. I want to make it easy for you to get the very best tools and products. No more hunting from store to store.
Washington Oral Wellness “W.O.W.” Problems with Breathing, Chewing, Muscles, or Noxious Habits
Myofunctional therapy information has a dedicated place on the left hand column. If you think you have a myofunctional disorder, or have no idea what the heck a myofunctional disorder is, read on and then let me know if you’d like a one-on-one chat with me. Along with the new site, I’m also launching my W.O.W. Skype services!
I have narrowed down the blog post categories to: teeth, gums, myofunctional disorders, dental products and general dental health. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can always search by tag words.
Yes, more plans to come. Videos are in my future- showing you exactly how to floss, which floss works best, how to brush your teeth, why electric brushes work better than manual to start! If there’s something you’d like to see a video of, let me know!
Please let me know what you think. Suggestions and thoughts are always welcome. My new goal for the Queen of Dental Hygiene blog is to reach the one million reader mark! You, my faithful readers know the importance of a healthy mouth and how it connects to a healthy body. Let’s spread the word and share this. Health is wealth. It’s important to take responsibility for creating our own health and wellness, and it starts with a healthy mouth.
Looking forward to many more posts. I have another surprise for our next post so stay tuned! Thanks for reading.
