Holistic Dental Maintenance

This week I had an awesome opportunity! I shared my biologically holistic dental care world with Bridgit Danner, a functional diagnostic health practitioner on her weekly live expert show.

Most folks have never even heard of biological dentistry and to be honest, until five years ago I thought this was all “woo woo” nonsense. How wrong I was.

In doing a deeper dive into oral health and total body wellness, I have found so much: chemicals we use in toothpaste may actually contribute to gum disease. Bacteria and other pathogens from the mouth travel throughout the body within 60 seconds and infect other body parts. Mercury vapor from silver mercury fillings is not innocuous; it passes the blood-brain barrier. Fluoride is a deadly toxin as well (see Leaving the Land of Fluoride if you haven’t already). Finally, root-canaled teeth are not benign, but rather hotbeds for infection (you just cannot feel them because the tooth had no nerve).

Dental hygiene is about so much more than a cosmetic “get your teeth cleaned” thing. Come listen in as I talk with Bridgit about how important holistic dental care is, and what we do in my biological, holistic world. Biologically-trained holistic care providers are searching for the cause of the dental problems, and they may not be “rooted” in the mouth. To find these unique dental practices, that think holistically like I do, worldwide visit: International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Let’s put the mouth back in the body and really be health care providers.

All the best in biologically driven holistic dental health care,
